It was at the public library downtown, and it was this guy named Sherman Alexie announcing his new book The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, for which my teacher had done the illustrations (link to ellen&#8217;s blog). So, I&#8217;d been having a shitty day thus far, and as this guy read his book, when he talked about how his dog as a child got really sick and his father had to put it down himself, I just ended up balling like a little kid. If you don&#8217;t know me well, I guess it&#8217;s just a shock. I hardly ever cry, even if my life is going to shit. It took me off guard, but it was quite cathartic. [...]</description>
