After a full year of borrowing Kelly O’s half-broken dust-buster and scrubbing my carpet on all fours, I went and bought my own vacuum today. In keeping with my resolve to only post work-related entries, here is my new purchase as a cartoon character:
But the real reason I share this here is that I finally got to visit the wacky Vac Shop at 4th and Lucille, south of downtown. I’d driven by any number of times, but never got a good look at the folk art-y vacuums on its fence. (Note: although I got a great deal on my vacuum, including an armload of free vacuum bags, they didn’t even offer me one of their free bibles. But why?)
